a0018711_1222085.jpgHello, everybody. How’re you doing? I’m very fine and the weather was fine as well.

Today, my work was easy and it finished at noon. Then, I went running with King. When I go running, I usually listen to Japanese music. But today, I listened songs of “WHAM!”. It was interesting that the scenery seemed different to usual the cause of the music.

Well, this morning, someone knocked my room and I woke up. That was Akiko. She said,
“Oh, you are here. That is fine. It’s nothing.”
Then, I had no idea why she did it. But I realized that she’d been worried about me. In fact, I went to bed 8 pm last night. The last time I met her was in the afternoon. Well, I’d thought Akiko had never been worried about others but I’d been wrong.

By the way, I got up at 9 am this morning. In a word, I slept for 13 hours. That’s why I’m pretty good today. This afternoon, I renewed the journal of for 4 days. I think I made my good friends, who read my journal everyday, tired. I’m sorry.

Then, see you probably tomorrow.

a0018711_17355997.jpgHello, everyone. How’re you doing? I don’t feel good and sleepy now. That’s why I’m going to bed now though it is 7:30 now.

Well, it was stormy when I woke up this morning. But it became clear by 9 am. I worked as usual, and had lunch. Then, I cooked the original spaghetti version 12. I used mainly cayenne, turmeric, oregano, thyme, potato, carrot, onion, cabbage, and flower. It was not bad but I thought I had better to add meat.

After lunch, I was reading a book while ate cereal. Then, I’d had too much before I knew it. And afterwards, I went walking with King. But I felt not good and it was cold today.

Although I haven’t had dinner yet, I’m going to bed now. I’m not hungry because I had lunch too much. Then, see you.

a0018711_17245021.jpgHello, everyone. How’s it going? I’m very fine. It was lovely weather again but a bit windy.

Today, Mike and I continued to renovate a house. Until today, we renovated the wall. And at last, it almost finished.
a0018711_17232142.jpgIt looks very nice. Like a new house. I was a bit impressed. When we finished it, the sun was declining westward. The sunlight made the building beautiful.

In the evening, I had dry curry and it was finished. I’m thankful to the curry for tiding me over 3 days. After dinner, I read a book, “Jonathan Livingston Seagull” written by Richard Bach. It is my favourite book. Afterwards, I had a hot spa. I could see much of stars in the sky again.

Then, see you in the mysterious world.

a0018711_1717486.jpgHello, everybody. How’s it going? I’m good. And also it was lovely weather. Well, I worked hard today. Maybe it was the longest hours since I came here.

This morning, I was bathed dazzling sunshine. It made everything beautiful. Sky, sea, woods, trees, leaves, stones, flowers, glass, weeds, and also buildings, everything was great. Then, I took many pictures as ever. When I went to the spa, I was surprised. There was Jane. Actually, she was waiting for Mike to get ready the boat. She was leaving then.

a0018711_17173123.jpgIt was very nice meeting her and Jo as well. She gave me her phone number. She lives in North Island. Although I’m not going to the North Island this time, I’m going there some time. I’m going back to New Zealand someday with certainly though I have to work hard in Japan before that.

Well, today, I helped Mike to build a house. Actually, it was to renovate, to be exact. But it was almost to build. I worked until 5 pm. It was a bit hard work, I like physical labor very much. It was fine day. It was very nice that working in sunshine. When I was working, Lynley gave me nice cakes. The cause of the cakes, I’d had energy to go running after working even though it was 5 pm.a0018711_17175456.jpg

After running, I had curry for dinner. I added some milk, butter, and flower to the curry. Then, it became like a stew. The taste was very nice. I decided cook a stew later though I don’t know how to cook it. Maybe I would create the original stew version 1 before long.

Then see you later.

a0018711_17121955.jpgHello, everyone. How are you doing? I’m very fine except for a bit suffering of full stomach.

This morning, I had curry for breakfast. And lunch too. The curry would tide me over for 3 days. Well, I said this phrase last night to Jo and Jane. Then, Jo said,
“Tide me over! That’s a good word! Where did you learn it, Kazu? Did you learn it at the school?”
“No. I learnt it from a dictionary. I often use this phrase. It’s a useful word to me.”
They smiled. I always think that my usual words are easy to remember for me. It’s difficult to remember that unusual words for my life even though it is the elementary words.

Well, when I was having breakfast, Akiko talked to me.
“You can’t have curry for dinner tonight.”, she said.
“Why?”
“Because Lynley and Mike would have us have dinner together.”
“Oh, really?”

In the evening, Akiko, Jane, and I went into their house. There were fantastic dishes on the table. By the way, Alex and Jo had left Hopewell. Alex went to Nepal. He is a quite strange guy. I wanted to talk to him deeper things. I wished I’d spoken English fluently. Jo left in the afternoon. She and Jane went kayaking for 3 or 4 hours I suppose though they’d done it yesterday as well.

a0018711_17124321.jpgWell, dinner time. As some people knew, I’ve got a quite tough stomach. First, I ate through all of kinds of food on the table. Then, I had a break for minutes. When everybody looked finish eating, Mike said,
“Kazu, have the remains of food. Eat everything.”
Maybe some people thought that it was just kidding but,
“Can I?”, I said and ate almost of all.
Then, Lynley looked scared of my appetite.

Before that, Ally (daughter of Lynley) tried to take a lamb chop from the big dish. Whenever she did it, Lynley reproved her because Ally had had it enough. But before long, Ally succeeded. When Lynley noticed it, she just smiled.

Well, my appetite was better than Ally’s, of course. I thought Lynley must think Ally’s appetite was just normal.

After dinner, I studied English by listening to English talking. Then, Mike gave me strong alcohol. Although I don’t like wine and beer, I like cocktail. It was made by Mike. I liked it. Although I was just listening talking, I felt my hearing skills were better than the time I arrived at Hopewell.

After that, I had a hot spa while watched lots of stars. I had it for an hours and a half. I was thinking many things then. I always think that it was good time to think many things that having a spa. When I lived with my parents, my mother often scolded me for having a bath too long. Actually, I liked thinking something while having a bath.

Today, I was thinking about mainly my future. Well, before I knew it, I wrote much though I haven’t often renewed this journal. It is better that the short diaries and quite often renewing as well, I think. Nevertheless, I am lazy as ever. Then, see you later.

a0018711_178954.jpgHello, everyone. How’s it going? I’m very fine. It was not so clearly fine but surely sunny and warm today.

Last night, Lynley came back from the trip. This morning,
“How are you?”, I said to her. Then,
“I’m tired for the short trip.”, she said.
Nevertheless, her smile was the same as ever.

Well, I was pretty good today. In fact, I slept for 11 hours last night though I had been awake till late recently.

After work, I went running after 3 days interval. I went further than usual. On the way, there were sheep, or chick on the road. Then, King would often hunt them. I shouted him to stop that many times.

By the way, two Kiwi ladies have stayed here since last night. They are quite friendly and funny. This morning, Alex (British guy) had left some dishes at the sink. When I putting those away, the lady, Jo shouted,
“Alex!! You are...bla bla bla bla…! ”
She was like a mother of Alex. It really amused me.

In the evening, I cooked curry for dinner. Then, Jo said,
“Oh, it’s your turn today?”
“What do you mean?”, I said.
“You are cooking for Akiko, aren’t you?”
“No. It’s just for me.”
“Why don’t you cook for her? A good man cooks for girls. Why not?”
“Why not?”
“Why not indeed why not?”
Whoever guys in front of her would be her sons, I thought.

When I finished cooking curry, I was not so hungry, because I’d tasted many times when I was cooking. And so I would have cereal with milk. Then, Jo said,
“What are you doing, Kazu?”
Suddenly, Jane (another lady) took the cereal box from my hand, and said,
“It is breakfast!! Where is the curry?”
“It’s over there.”, I said.
I had to describe my thinking to them by my poor English. Now, I wonder what I was doing. But I was enjoying the time with certainly.

a0018711_1783067.jpgActually, they used to teach English to Japanese students. And so, they knew Japanese culture well.
“Don’t have cereal for dinner. Have Miso soup now.”, Jane said.
They also asked to me about some Japanese culture. For example,
“Which baseball team do you support?”
“Do you like sumo? Do you like Takanohana?”
“What Japanese food do you like best?”
Like that. Anyway, there were lots of questions.

“I like sushi.” When I answered like that, they said,
“Why don’t you cook sushi for us tonight? There is the sea. And here is rice.”

When Jane was going out to watch glowworms with Alex and Akiko, she also asked me,
“Have you seen the glowworm here?”
“Yeah, lots of times.”, I said.
“Why don’t you show it to Akiko? Bad boy!”, she said and hit my head.
I had never met such quite friendly customers.

I had a very good day today. It’s already 1 am now. It’s time to go to bed. I think I would renew this journal tomorrow morning. Then, see you tomorrow.

a0018711_5404086.jpgHello, everyone. How are you doing? I’m good though it was rainy almost all day today.

This morning, when I was cleaning in the common room, Mike came there and said,
“Dolphins are coming soon. Now, go kayaking!”
Then, Akiko, Alex, and I went out to get ready to go kayaking. Alex was very quick. He was already on the sea before I knew it. On the other hand, Akiko took much time because she had actually never tried kayaking yet. When I reached in the middle of the sea, I saw dolphins were jumping at the far place. They were completely gone before Akiko came. She made something complaint to me. But anyhow, it was over.

When we were back, Mike made muffins for us. It was very good. He said,
“I am claver.”, with a smile.
It was certainly true, I thought. He cooks very well.
a0018711_5405623.jpg
After work, I cooked the original spaghetti version 11. It was like Chinese noodles. I thought it was quite original but the taste was not so great. Then, I made too much but I had to have all because it was like Chinese noodles, you know. I couldn’t leave it for dinner.

After lunch, I went walking with King though it was raining. I had big lunch and so I just wanted to do exercise. I went walking for about 2 hours. The rain was light, so it was not bad.

Afterwards, I had a shower and had a hot spa. Then, the rain had already stopped. Although it was cloudy, I could see some stars in the sky. Then, I wondered that I hadn’t had a spa for a long. Ah, I missed sunny days.

a0018711_539874.jpgHello, everyone. How’s it going? I’m So so. I didn’t go running or walking today because it was raining all day.

This morning, four customers left. In addition, Richard went back to Canada though he had come back from Australia just last Sunday. I miss him. He used to talk to me everyday. Although I often couldn’t hear his English, he talked slowly, and explained again and again for me.

When he was leaving, he told me that he was coming back to Hopewell before long. Perhaps, we would meet again. Now, I’m thinking what I will do, and also where to go in September. My visa expires on the 11th October. It means there are 2 months left for my stay in New Zealand. I can’t believe that I’ve been in New Zealand already for 10 months.

By the way, it’s already 7th August now though I’m writing this journal like today is 5th. Ah, I’m getting lazy…

Today (5th), I read a book till late again. The book title is “Hoshi no junrei” (The pilgrimage of star) written by Paulo Coelho. I’m not sure the English whether the English title is correct. I read it Japanese and besides Paulo Coelho is Brazilian. It’s a very nice book.

I read a book at the lounge until 1 am. Then, there was a guy, Alex there. Although it was already in the midnight, he was enjoying drinking wine while listening to music. He seemed to love music. Well, he likes talking as well. When I talked to him something, he didn’t stop speaking for a while. He is very funny and quite friendly.

Then, see you later.

a0018711_5365940.jpgHello, everybody. How’re you doing? It was sunny in this morning but became rainy in the evening and cold.

Well, I’ve been lazy lately. I hadn’t connected to the internet for three days. That’s why I renewed my diary for from the 1st to the 3rd August today. For these three days, I hadn’t been actually busy. Just I’d relaxed and been in the nature longer, you know.

This morning, I had the remains of last dinner which was named “Version 9”. In the evening, I cooked the original spaghetti version 10 for dinner. It was good as well. I used a chicken stock cube for that. And I added a little cayenne, nutmeg, thyme, oregano, and so on.

After dinner, I read a book, and now, it’s already 2 am, before I knew it. I’m sleepy. See you some time. I don’t know when I renew the diary next.

a0018711_13522166.jpgHello, everybody? How are you doing? I’m very fine.

This morning, when I was having breakfast, a German guy came there. I said,
“Hi, Ich heiβe Kazu”
It means my name is Kazu in German. He said that his name was Firix with a smile. He has a good smile By the way, he spent time for fishing almost all day.

Today, I’ve got a new work. It is to wash the spa pool. It’s a bit interesting work. From today, I do it everyday. After that, I did easy work and finished early time.

It was cloudy. I went running alone. Well, King was chained up by Mike this morning. Actually, King ate lamb which Mike had sheared and dried in the garden. Very bad boy, King.

After running, I picked oysters and mussels up on the beach for dinner. Then, I saw Mike was laying timbers on the wall of the building alone. And so I helped him. I’d already known how I can help him because it was the similar work to yesterday work. Two heads are better than one. Two pair of hands are quite better than one. I thought I could good help him. Then, I was very happy.

In the evening, I cooked the original spaghetti version 9. It is like vongole. I used oysters, mussels, garlic, onion, and mushrooms. It was amazing taste. Very good. The seasoning was mainly coriander, nutmeg, sage, basil, butter, wine, and lemon. And a bit, soy sauce, white pepper, and so on.

When I have dinner, there were many people in the lounge. I had the spaghetti the next seat to Richard. Tonight, I could cook so good meal that I had Richard taste it. Then, he said,
“You would be a good chef. Will you be?”
“I won’t be a chef. It’s just a hobby.”, I said.
I really like cooking and enjoy it but if it is work, I wouldn’t enjoy it, I think. Work is quite different to hobby.

Well, it’s very cold tonight. Although Mike told me that it would have been bad weather tomorrow, there is shining moon in the sky now. I am sleepy and so see you tomorrow.
