Hello, everybody. How're you doing?

I'm so sorry for delaying renewing this journal. I've already begun to work in Blenheim. To be exact, it's not in Blenheim. Just near there.

I work 8 hours a day. I live in a very bad house. But anyway I am alive. Today, I just wanted to say that. I'm not dead yet.

Well, it's very difficult to use internet here. And so I'll keep a diary on my computer or notebook. And someday, I'll renew it on this website. I'm staying here for 2 or 3 weeks. And afterwards, I'm going to Christchrch maybe around 20th September. From then, I will have peaceful days in Chch. Then, I will have got lots of money, maybe.

Anyway, I am very busy for work everyday, and town is far from my house. That's why I'm afraid that I wouldn't renew this journal for a while.

But I'll be back certainly. I'll never die. See you someday. Good luck everyone.

a0018711_911412.jpgHello, everyone. How’s it going? I’m very fine as usual. It was sunny. Today, I decided to move to Blenheim on 1st September.

This morning, I did just easy work. You know, there are no customers visit here still. Lynley told me that I could leave here anytime if I felt bored. Although I have been enjoying the days in Hopewell still now, I’ve been here nearly 3 months, before I’d known it. Then, I thought that it was time to leave.

By the way, I’ve often talked to Tomoko on e-mails recently. She told me she worked at the farm in Christchurch then, and she moved to another farm of Fairlie next week. I thought she’d become quite active. She also told me that she didn’t have enough money to stay without work. It’s the same as me, you know.

Anyway, I needed to get a job, and so I rang a farm which in Blenheim, this afternoon. Then, I got it.
“I’d like to work at your farm. Could I work there?”, I asked on phone.
“From when?”, the farm owner said.
“From the 1st of September.”
“Okay. Please ring me when you arrive at Blenheim.”
That’s all.

I wonder if I could surely work there. I asked again whether I could surely work there even though it would be just 3 weeks. Then, she said,
“That’s all right. But, some people didn’t come even though they’d told us that they would have liked to work here. And so, please ring me again the day before you come.”
Well, I knew she meant. Actually, my boss had faced the same problem as her. Before I found Akiko as a new worker, some people had told my boss that they’d have liked worked here, and afterwards disconnected though my boss was waiting for them. That’s why I’m going to find a good new worker before I leave Hopewell.

By the way, I renewed the journals of from 16th to 20th today. I’m sorry to do it late. Then, see you maybe tomorrow.

a0018711_1495070.jpgHello, everyone. How’s it going? I am fine. It was raining now though it was cloudy at the daytime.

This morning, I assisted Mike to renovate a house. He felt a bit better but not so good yet. And so we’ve done it slowly. He said,
“I am a hundred years old today”
Surely, he moved slowly but I thought it was 70 years old if so much. Anyway, he has needed rest more.

On the other hand, I am very fine as ever. I went running as usual and had big meals. However, I’ve felt a bit bored because here has been quiet lately. No customers have come here after the Spanish couple left. Mike is worried about the BBH business. If you are interested in our place, please come here tomorrow. Please ring us. Or send an e-mail, please. Anyway, have a look at this.

Hopewell BBH in Marlborough Sounds, New Zealand.

Then, see you in Hopewell. We will welcome you anytime.

Hello, everybody. a0018711_1464476.jpg
How’s it going? I’m very fine. It was middle of sunny and cloudy.

Mike has felt not good still. On the other hand, I am very fine. Before breakfast, I went to the top of the mountain. And besides I went running about an hour.

In the evening, I cooked “Niku-jaga” again. After dinner, I watched the basket ball game which Kiwi verses SCG. It was a very nice game. When the 3rd quarter finished, Kiwi was 13 points, but at the 1 minute left in the final quarter, Kiwi reversed the game, and won. I was very excited and impressed.

Have you been enjoying watching Olympic Games? As for me, the basket ball game was the first impression game. Actually, I haven’t at all known how Japanese teams have been.

Then, see you. Good night.

a0018711_1412526.jpgHello, everybody. How are you doing? I’m as well as ever. It was cloudy, windy, and very cold. How about your town?

Well, Mike felt not well still, and so my work was nothing special. I just cleaned the spa and carried fire woods as usual, and afterwards continued to gather stones and put them in the garden to look artistic. That’s all. I wish his sick weren’t so bad.

After lunch, I drew two pictures.
a0018711_1415187.jpgIn fact, I like drawing a picture but I hadn’t done it recently. I drew a picture of an old man on a book, and a picture of a tea cup. Drawing a picture makes my heart calm and mild. I had a good afternoon.

In the night, when I had a hot spa, it had cleared in the sky. And there were much of stars there. I thought that I was going to draw a picture of the night sky sometime.

Well, what is making your heart calm? Then, see you.

a0018711_13571423.jpgHello, everybody. How’s it going? I’m as well as ever. This morning, I received a letter. It was from Noriko & Tomoko. Thank you very much.

Noriko lives in Queen’s town, and Tomoko is in Chch now. On the letter, they asked me how my 22nd birthday was. Actually, it was the same as normal days. I didn’t tell my birthday to the people here. On my birthday, I mowed the lawn in the garden. Mowing is the memory of my 22nd birthday. It is not bad, I think.

By the way, Sandy also had sent a message to me on my birthday. She told that it was the Black Friday… I’d known it. In fact, I was born on the Black Friday in 1982.
a0018711_13573163.jpg
Well, today, my work was to carry stones again. Although it was cold today, I felt warm because of the physical labour. By the way, Mike has got cold. I thought he’d worked too hard. Added to this, it had become suddenly cold. He has to just relax. Well, I am very fine. I’ve had big meals and slept well lately.

In the evening, I had “Niku-jaga” which popular Japanese dish. Suddenly, I felt like eating Japanese food. Actually, I hadn’t cooked Japanese food for a long. Anyway, Niku-jaga was very good.

It became rainy in the night. I wish it would be fine and warm tomorrow.

a0018711_13532446.jpgHello, everyone. How’s it going? I’m very fine. I slept very well. And the weather was lovely.

This morning, the friendly Spanish couple left Hopewell. When I met Natxo, I said,
“Buenos dias!”
“Buenos dias!”, he replied with a smile.

When I was having breakfast, they left. Then, I took a picture with them. You see, my hair was bad. On the photo, I’m half dreaming still. When they were leaving, I said,
“Encantado de por conocerte. Buen viaje.”
It means “Nice to meet you. Bon voyage”, I suppose. Then, the lady said,
“Sayonara.”
“Adios”, I said.
a0018711_13535627.jpg
Although I hadn’t noticed it, they were the first Spanish who I talked to in my life, I supposed. I know just them in Spanish people so far. That’s why I’ve got very good impression of Spanish people. And I became interested in Spain.

By the way, my work of today was to carry lots of stones. It was good exercise for my muscles. I worked until 2 pm. Although it made me a little bit tired, it was very nice that physical labour in dazzling sunshine.

In the night, I had a hot spa and saw much of stars after a long interval. I really thought it was good day.

a0018711_13495715.jpgBuenas tardes! ?Como esta usted? (Good afternoon! How are you?) The friendly Spanish couple, Setaeh & Natxo is staying here tonight as well. By the way, I didn’t feel so good today because I went to bed at 3 am last night. To sleep well is very important to me.

It was extremely stormy from last night till this morning. The time was going by noon, it suddenly cleared. Setaeh and Natxo went kayaking. Actually, it was the first time for them to go kayaking. They told me they’d enjoyed it though it had been a bit difficult to go straight. They took a twin kayak. I haven’t used it. Although it’d been stormy in the morning, they told me the wave hadn’t been so high. Well, before I asked, I’d already realised that they’d enjoyed it by their nice smiles.
a0018711_13501511.jpg
In the evening, Natxo asked to me if he could check his CD-ROM on the computer. Although the common computer doesn’t correspond with CD, my computer does. And so I brought my computer into the lounge and checked it together. Well, there were their photos in the CD. The couple, Akiko, and I began to watch the slide show.

First, there were the wedding pictures of them. It was very nice. Although I wrote it also yesterday, they married just a month ago. They looked extremely happy. There were many photos of their travelling. I thought they usually went to quiet places included here. They visited deep nature.

Then, I had a nice time. I thought I wanted to go travelling to many places.

a0018711_16215835.jpgHello, everybody. How’re you doing? I’m very fine as ever. It was day off today. And so I slept very well. In fact, I got up at 2 pm today.

When I was having breakfast at the lounge, Mike came into there with new customers.
“Good morning, Kazu!”, he said.
“Good morning, Mike.”, I replied with a smile.

In the evening, I cooked stew for dinner. However, when I was preparing it, the electric current was cut off. Before long, Mike brought candles and a torch. Then, I continued cooking using them.

Then, the Spanish lady, Setaeh said,
“Have you had this happening before?”
“Yes, once”, I answered.
“Wasn’t it yesterday?” she said.
She is very funny. By the way, they told me their travelling was a honeymoon. They were married just a month ago.
a0018711_1622188.jpg
Well, actually, it was the first time for me to cook stew but it went well. I thought it was difficult to cook tasty stew but it was not so difficult. Then, I used parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme. Well, do you know the old song “Scaborough Fare”?

When I was cooking, the Spanish couple played card though the electric had been cut off still then. However, it looked very nice, and so I took pictures.

By the way, it became rainy in the evening and afterwards became awful stormy. Then, see you.

a0018711_19144.jpgHello, everyone. How’s it going? I’m very fine as usual and the weather was good as well.

This morning, I was looking for my work. Everyday, I first clean the hot spa. And afterwards, Lynley or Mike gives me other work. Today, I asked to Lynley,
“What is my work today?”
“Well.., please ask to Mike.”, she said.
Then, I found Mike and said,
“Are there any work I can do?”
“Not really. Please ask to Lynley.”, he said.
a0018711_1913934.jpg
But no worries. I got work soon later. It was mowing the lawn. Actually, I used to do it in Timaru but our BBH has the very large lawn. When I’d done it, it was already 4 pm though I’d had a lunch break. Although it made me a little bit tired, I enjoyed it. It became very nice. Very beautiful.

By the way, I cooked the original spaghetti version 13, I suppose. It was tomato base. I used tomato, pimento (not to be exact), onion, garlic, chicken, nutmeg, oregano, parsley, chilly, thyme, basil, and flower. Lately, I am often impressed by my cooking. This version 13 was also great. By the way, I always make too much. I had the remains of lunch for dinner.

When I finished working, although it was already 4 pm, I went running with King as usual. On the way, I had a break and lay on the ground, and looked at the huge sky for a while. I just relaxed. The clouds were moving. The breeze was going through above me. I heard rippling sound. From somewhere, birds’ songs reached there. Bulls were bellowing. And King was walking about. Among such nature, I was lying on the ground and just relaxing. I was enjoying the solitude. And, I was happy.

Then, see you tomorrow. By the way, did you feel happy today?
